The Jacksonville Warriors and Jacksonville BlueClaws
For more than 20 years, the Jacksonville Warriors have been one of most prestigious and successful 18-and-under amateur baseball programs in the state of Florida. With past allegiances with American Legion, Connie Mack, the National Baseball Congress and other elite organizations, the Jacksonville Warriors have become synonymous with excellence in amateur baseball. Founded in 1986 by Ben Stevens and still operating under his principles of ethics, discipline and class in baseball, the Warriors are among the elite in their field. The Warriors, now armed with new allegiances, have grown to greater heights than ever. Among those – head coach Jon Farrell. A former first round draft choice of the Pittsburgh Pirates, Farrell brings his many experiences in professional baseball, plus years as part of the ultrasuccessful Wolfson High School program, to the Warriors. Finally, the Warriors have partnered with Baker Sports of North Florida, the premier college and high school team uniform and equipment supplier in North Florida. Baker Sports will ensure the Warriors are both equipped and outfitted with the best available equipment, uniforms, etc. available in baseball today. From day one, the goal of Warriors founder Ben Stevens was to display the Warriors' players in front of the top baseball talent evaluators in the country -- including professional baseball scouts, college coaches, junior college coaches and others. The goal is for every member of the Warriors team to advance his opportunities to continue his baseball career. With appearances in every summer major baseball tournament in the Southeast, that goal sill be realized. The Jacksonville Warriors and the Jacksonville BlueClaws – an exercise in class in amateur baseball.
